The English Today logo gets a facelift

It’s not just the English Today website that has received a facelift, the English Today logo has also enjoyed a subtle spruce up. The words crisp, clean and dignified spring to mind and the understated visual tweak works perfectly. An injection of sophistication, respectability and dedication is now apparent in equal amounts which was perhaps lacking in its predecessor.

In terms of style and presentation the new English Today logo manages to hold onto its Indonesian roots. The eastern cut of the typeface, for example; is very similar to the previous version and the sun flare remains an integral element, capturing for me the wonderful beaming smiles that the Indonesian people seem to possess.

The distracting drop shadow has been tastefully removed as a whole the emblem comes across as very contemporary. English Today has just upped the ante with this fresh, energetic direction they appear to be taking.
